Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1924, Earl Bakken is the inventor of the first wearable, battery-operated cardiac pacemaker, co-founder of Medtronic, one of the world's leading medical technology companies, founder of The Bakken Museum, and a visionary futurist and philanthropist.
The book includes over 200 images, as well as personal stories, from those close to Earl. All proceeds from book sales will go to The Bakken Museum to help further their mission of inspiring a passion for science for generations to come.
